Chris Tomlin
Singer/songwriter Chris Tomlin has been inspiring listeners with his music for over a decade. Born in Texas, Chris wrote his first worship song at the young age of 14. Even with his natural musical ability, Tomlin didn’t realize he wanted to be a musician until he went to college to study physical therapy. Over the last decade, Chris has released a variety of songs including: “How Great Is Our God,” “Our God,” “Holy Is The Lord,” “Indescribable,” “Jesus Messiah,” “Whom Shall I Fear,” “Waterfall", "Jesus Loves Me”, and “Good, Good Father”. “It’s the gift that God’s given me… It’s definitely God’s favor on the songs,” Chris says in regards to the success of his music. “There’s no marketing plan that can do what only God can do and put the songs in people’s hearts. The beautiful thing of it is the kind of songs I write aren’t about the artist. A lot of these songs, hopefully, become the people’s songs. Hopefully they become the soundtrack for their lives and their worship to God. That’s why I write them.”
Newsboys
After all, how many groups boast a discography with 16 albums and five gold records? And since the arrival of dc talk alum Michael Tait as lead singer, things have only gotten better: 2010’s "Born Again" spawned three No. 1 radio hits, and 2012's "God’s Not Dead" sold more than 300,000 copies. So yes, fans keep choosing the Newsboys—which makes Restart all the more remarkable, because it dares to put so much of that loyalty to the test. With all the fervor of rookies seeking their first record deal, Tait and his bandmates—Jody Davis (guitars), Duncan Phillips (drums), and Jeff Frankenstein (keyboards)—combed through reams and reams of demos and song ideas. Their goal? To compile a stellar collection of tracks into an album like no other … not just in the band's history, but in Christian music history itself as well.
Andy Mineo
Whether he’s on stage bringing an audience to its feet with his riveting performance or off stage fielding interview questions with a potent combination of intellect and wit, it’s obvious Andy Mineo is a born communicator and hip hop music is his instrument for reaching the masses. “It is absolutely undeniable that hip hop is becoming the universal language,” Mineo says expressing an unbridled enthusiasm for his artistic vehicle. “It’s so influential because you are able to say so much in a short period of time. The essence of hip hop is the boldness of it so you’re able to be exactly who you are. You are able to say exactly what you want. You represent exactly what is deepest and dearest to you and people respond to that. They respond to that realness.”
Newsong
Newsong started out 30 years ago as a 9 member church band for Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA, never imagining that they would still be together in 2010. Founding member, Billy Goodwin, explains the group's faith attitude, "The commitment that we made was, 'God, we'll do this as long as Your hand is on it, as long as we see You working.' One of the joys in my walk has been learning that God is faithful even when things look impossible." Throughout the years, and changes in the group, they have had 17 #1 singles, six Gospel Music Association Dove Award nominations, numerous songwriting awards, and five of the Top 100 Christian radio singles of the past decade. They are known for their songs, "Arise, My Love," "Miracles," "Jesus To The World (Roaring Lambs), and "The Christmas Shoes," which is also the title of their first Christmas Album.
Hollyn
Born Holly Marie Miller in Waverly, Ohio in 1997, Hollyn got her big break in 2013 as a contestant on season 12 of American Idol. A talented vocalist and singer/songwriter who cites pop, R&B, and Christian music as her main influences, Hollyn made it to the Hollywood rounds before making her exit, and before long she was making a name for herself in the CCM world. In early 2015, she appeared on the single "Backseat Driver" from TobyMac's Grammy Award-winning LP This Is a Not a Test, and later that year issued her eponymous debut EP, which featured the hit single "Alone."
